Bhishma The Knight Defenders State. Bhishma figure whose real name Dewabrata was the son of the goddess Ganga. Bhishma was born from the womb of the Goddess Ganga who is married to the king of Hastinapur, Santanu. Dewabrata have designations Bhishma when he gave oath that there would be a king in Hastinapura and will not marry forever. Of the oath, Bhishma blessed by God with the ability to die at will. If he is not willing to die, then people will not be able to kill him.
Bhishma figure who became the grandfather of the Pandavas and Kauravas always tried to do justice to the grandchildren. Bhishma very much hope that, the Pandavas were able to hold the government of Hastinapur. However, reality says another with affection the father of the Kauravas, then Duryudana was made king. Bhishma is known as a man of loyalty to the state. Bharatayudha later in the war, Bhishma was on the Kaurava side attacked the Pandavas. This does not mean that Bhishma support tyranny do Kauravas, but the Bhishma defend the kingdom of Hastinapur anyone who attacked him. End of his life, he died at the hands of Heroine who is the reincarnation of Goddess Amba who had been let down by Bhishma. However, Bhishma did not die immediately, but he saw the first destruction of the Kauravas.
